Ludovica Anzaldi

Ludovica Anzaldi is an Italian visual artist and art director working chiefly in analogue medium format. She trained and worked in Paris before settling in Rome in 2020, and her practice has never really left that dialogue behind: it lives in the collaboration between artist and subject, built slowly, often over years. Her camera turns towards women and towards people pushed to the edges of society, those whom the world finds easiest to look past and, at its cruellest, easiest to pretend don’t exist at all. What she brings back is neither sentimental nor sensational: raw, unguarded images that hold their subjects’ fragility and their strength in the same frame, asking hard questions about gender, migration and collective struggle without ever losing their discretion or their tenderness.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in group exhibitions, including Still fotografia in Milan, PhotoVogue Festival in Milan, Biwako Biennale in Japan and 15martel Gallery in Paris. Co-founder and Creative Director of Forme Web Tv & Under The Same Moon. Her photography has been published as book covers with Castelvecchi Editore and in dozens of publications such as I-D Italy, Rollingstone, Vanityfair, D- la Repubblica and il Manifesto.
