This series of portraits draws inspiration directly from the phenomenon of the persistence of vision. Thanks to this phenomenon our eyes record traces of what we observed, after we observed it.
The images we saw are often blurry , as if there was a layer of fog between them and us. The phenomenon changes according to the intensity of the surrounding light that can make images more or less abstract, overflowing or vivid.
Ludovica Anzaldi creates this series of 12 overflowing portraits covered by a veil of paint that lends this feeling of fog, of traces in our minds, of the passing of time.
